Endure It Well

Patience is not passive resignation, nor is it failing to act because of our fears. Patience means active waiting and enduring. It means staying with something and doing all that we can—working, hoping, and exercising faith; bearing hardship with fortitude, even when the desires of our hearts are delayed. Patience is not simply enduring; it is enduring well!

Items To Always Include In One's Budget

***I've been re-budgeting this week and there a few items that I realized ARE staples to a budget (as long as your name is Jess)

1. Golfing (yes I do allot a certain percentage just for golf, it is too amazing to just group with "entertainment")
2. Massages
3. Dr. Pepper

Real Life Began A Long Time Ago...Remember This!

For a long time it seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid.

At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life. This perspective has helped me to see there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.

So treasure every moment you have and remember that time waits for no one. Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Sent To Earth To Endure

Do not expect to be free entirely from trouble and disappointment and pain and discouragement, for these are the things that we were sent to earth to endure. “The scriptures promise, ‘There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it’ (1 Corinthians 10:13). “The Savior said, ‘Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me’ (D&C 88:63).

Important Causes

We become so caught up in the busyness of our lives. Were we to step back, however, and take a good look at what we’re doing, we may find that we have immersed ourselves in the ‘thick of thin things.’ In other words, too often we spend most of our time taking care of the things which do not really matter much at all in the grand scheme of things, neglecting those more important causes.

Up Close Shots For The Bro

These are requested by Matty to give hime a flavor for how awesome my new clubs are.
After two rounds with the new clubs my favorite club is still my driver.
I also really love my irons...particularly my 7 iron and not just because it is the 7 iron. It is however rather fitting it would be my favorite next to the driver.
And of course we have the "golden" putter! I will be upgrading but the "golden" putter will stay in the bag, if only for good luck.

Something To Consider About Others We Encounter

Some of us have visible disabilities while others' are invisible but they are still there...be slow to make unfounded assumptions about others, you never know what they are dealing with in their lives.
