Happenings of The Week

 Sam Jam playing softball
Mattie Faye hiding out during a cookout
Brown Eyes waiting patiently for Averina's K-grade graduation...(grad pics forthcoming)
Short-stack #1 and  #2 taking a rest while playing outside
Just a little cameo in the parking lot...complete with three dogs in the back. Oh and yes the folks loaded their newly purchased groceries into the bed of the truck with the three dogs.  What a waste of money if you ask me.

Go Team Jason!

My good friend and hero, Jason, who has CF (cystic fibrosis) is in need of a double lung transplant. Go to the link and learn a little bit about him. I will tell you this. I've known Jason my whole life and he's one of a kind. He's a fighter. He's faithful. He's optimistic. He's inspiring. He embodies characteristics that we should all hope to invest.  It is an honor to know him and to learn from him! Help and donate if you're willing and able.

Mattie Faye Loves To Lounge

She enjoyed furniture shopping much more than the rest of us!
This was her favorite spot on Saturday evening!

Being Showered With Gifts

Dadio and Mama Berry went to DC last week and upon their return they showered us all with gifts...

Mama Berry had to bring me back a NCIS shirt (NCIS, the TV show is one of my favorites and I watch reruns when I don't sleep and Mama Berry is a huge fan as well (by huge I mean small).
Dadio just couldn't resist bringing me home a "stress" squeeze banana. He knows I just love (HATE) bananas and so he just couldn't help himself. The banana does fit well in my hand but it still feels weird to actually touch a banana (even if it is fake).

The Balmy Weather Of Tetonia

These girls make the rain look fun...
and rain turns to snow in an instant...

which translates into me wearing my favorite boots daily...
apparently spring is coming or at least that folks tell me to give me false hope...

The Joy of Birthdays!

Gordo is finally getting older...24! Whoa. The baby boy is becoming ancient.  I do love our little Gordo!
JT and I made sure to carry the group in singing Happy birthday!

Side note: Since arriving in Idaho I've attended a family birthday party at least once a week...(this week was Gordo's, Uncle Rich's, and Abbie's). This translates into lots of awesome birthday song singing!

How I've Been Spending My Time...

1. Playing with the little girls
2. House hunting
3. Deciding to build (because let's be honest, all these homes built recently are in one word: BROWN!!)
4. Learning quickly that building a house is extremely stressful and busy
5. Relearning a DOS acctg system, what type of motor oil is used for what, and how to use a paper shredder again (HP wouldn't let us shred our own paper)
6. Shadowing Mama Berry daily (she had to take a vacation after just two weeks to catch a break from her new Mini me) :)
7. Experiencing a new first...a private showing at the Spud Drive-in. (Thanks THL!) I think from now on I'll never be able to go back to public showings...

How I hope to be spending my time VERY soon...

1. Catching up with old friends
2. Golfing (a lot)
3. Exercising
4. Living in sunny weather (this might not be a realistic goal)
5. Sleeping more
6. Blogging more
7. Hot tubbing more

The Next Apple Advertisement

Really, with the exception of Dadio, I've never meet anyone that loves the iPad as much as these three smarties.

If Apple would like to use them to market to the "youngest" generation let me know.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day consisted of some real goodness:
Feeling better
Mama Berry making amazing Lemon angel food cake
FaceTime with Joshy (Elder Berry to the rest of the population)
Dinner that finally after years of begging included a med rare steak on my plate (Dadio has one fault: he likes his meat well done (gag me))

Most importantly the day was spent with these lovely ladies. Mama Berry and Senorita Erickson. They are amazing women, examples, mothers, and my friends.
I'll sum us up in a nutshell:
Three generations of awesomeness! (and great smiles to boot)

Love these two and all the mothers in my life!

Springtime in Idaho...

Advice: Whenever possible store your grill in the garage, otherwise robins will overtake it. Common property laws apply in Idaho.

Life According to My iPhone Photos

You'll notice from the photo recap that much of my time is spent lately with the little girls...they love me and I love them. Plus they are all hilarious.
Example: Morg: Jess, did you bring your toothbrush? (I was on my way to spend the night at her house) Me: Yes I did. Morg: Okay, if not I was going to share mine with you. What color is your toothbrush? Me: Green. Morg: Oh great, I'll use my green one too then.
Believe it or not, but no one fell off the suitcase playing air hockey...miracle!
Mattie Faye is such a happy baby!
Averina is playing tee ball, Matty is coaching her.
Another example: Brown Eyes comes up when I'm getting ready to snap the photo and says: wait, I need to fix my hair for the photo.
Brown Eyes dresses up about five times a day.
I've also been doing a lot of couch "surfing"...I mean couch shopping and bed surfing when I was temporarily evicted from my home while the floors were refinished...
Last week I spent the night with the Gparents on the farm. Poncho and I walked the steer auction while eating breakfast the next morning...I'm definitely in Idaho.
Brown Eyes loves when Papa reads to her...
it puts her right to sleep. :)

Breakfast of Champions

For a solid week we had pie for breakfast (and lunch and dinner when the mood struck)...I believe this is what heaven will be like one day.

The Slow Pace Life

Mama Berry caught me "resting" in the car...nothing like a warm car.

It's Official

Goodbye expensive California registration...
Hello 1T 3232 again! (1T 3232 was my old license plate for as long as I could remember and luckily my number was still available)...this made my day!
