January: Photo Summary In A Blur

2014 hasn't really been my year. Jan 2nd ended with me and an IV bag of fluid. A severe kidney infection. Pure joy (feel the sarcasm please). That same day, Amie had major back surgery. A week later I had botox injections. I still felt badly, which would make sense given I still had a kidney infection...it held on for dear life. A week of IV antibiotics and another month of oral antibiotics to kill it. My right hand/arm didn't like that IV very well.  Turns out most of January consisted of Mama Berry, Dadio, and Matty playing nurse and caregiver to each of us...and wrestling three crazy girls. Thanks for helping us so much! 

 This is a horrid angle of myself but I post it because this little mini-me held my hand a lot this month. Always taking care of her Jessie Faye.

Christmas Eve...With A Whole Bunch Of Berrys

Christmas Eve was great. Uncle Johnny and some of his family (four of these cute Berry girls below), Uncle Rich and his family, and our family all gathered for a delicious evening. A Bunch of Berrys! The food was amazing and we had a great time visiting and celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Did you know that folks only 75 years old and older drive Buick vehicles?  Well since I'm an 82 year old in my heart and physically most of the time that statement still holds true! 

Canada...Kassie Jo's Wedding!

I've never been so cold in my life...seriously! I wore long underwear, clothing, and two coats almost the entire trip. 31 degrees below zero before factoring in the wind chill the morning we went into the temple for the wedding ceremony. Despite the weather and even being physically cold in the temple my heart was warm (I'm fully aware that that sounds cheesy, but if you knew Kassie and if you were in that sealing room you would understand what a special moment it was to witness). 

It was a whirlwind trip, but wonderful to see our Canadians we call family!

 Mattie Faye couldn't get enough pudding the night before the wedding. 

 Can you tell they are related? It was fun seeing Aunt Ann, she acts so much like my Grandma that it made me miss Ardella Faye!
