Stay tuned....

Shalece flies in this week...so there will be tons more posts following our adventure. If we survive exploring or the laughter!

Roommate Dinner

My old roomies as of today. Paige, Heather, Nirnaya, and I. It was Nirnaya's last week here. She was our little intern at KPMG. Oh, how I miss the days of an intern...no real responsibility and lots of free meals. :) Plus to have another accounting geek in the house was great. :) Nirnaya and I were a little camera happy. I made Sara's marshmallow popcorn...it was best batch yet! But Sara will always make it better, always giving me a reason to come home to visit. :)

Hiking at Stinson Beach

My friend Baorong, her husband, and I hiking at Stinson Beach. I just love Baorong! Stinson Beach hiking is great. The hike is downhill to the beach and then you spend the afternoon at the beach and drive home. That is my kind of hiking. Not your average Tablerock hike :)

Picnic

Nicole, Scott, and I at a picnic earlier this summer.

My First Ride in a Cessna!

Riding in a Cessna from Sacramento to Palo Alto! Nothing like a quiet little plane ride to start the morning, not to mention the time saved from not driving home. My friends Sam, Adaline, Nicole, Sophia, and I rode home in style. Nicole's dad flew us home after a fun-filled weekend in Sacramento. The Bay is pretty from the ground, but it is beautiful from the sky! I only got air-sick a few times. We did a touch-and-go on our first landing attempt (I was a little nervous) but we barely made the second landing. Nicole's dad wasn't use to having so much weight with five of us in the Cessna. I didn't realize this, but you can listen to the radio in the sky. :)

American River Rafting-Sacramento

I would rate this river rafting trip to a longer "floating" of the Teton River, with a water fight added to spice things up. I was nervous when they mentioned rafting, given my last experience with rapids...but I conquered those fears (well, kind of)! The last time I was in a rafting situation similar to this I almost drown, but that time around an Australian dude in a leopard skin speedo (not joking) saved me. He wasn't on this trip, so lucky for me I made it safely. :)
