To Tetonia With These Three Short-stackers

Saturday I was brave and hauled all three nieces to Tetonia for the day to help Mama Berry.  We were not planning on Mattie Faye coming along originally but she had other ideas as she waved goodbye to her daddy and followed us out.  

They were well behaved.

And their Grandpa fed them enough sweets that I'm surprised that they weren't diabetics by the time they made it back home that night.

Between Dadio and Sam Jam tag-teaming me I was persuaded to purchase these bright red couches for my basement. They look great with my floors. I'm pretty excited! Matty told me that the rainbow called and wants it's colors back. What can I say? I'm a bright color lover.

Dusting Off The Old Baking Skills

A few weeks ago KM emailed this recipe for a lemon tart that looked delicious. The next day I received a loving and thoughtful house-warming gift from MP and Sammy P. What was in the package? A new lemon zester, a lemon juicer, and a fancy flour sifter. Perfect timing! Well it took me a few weeks to find the time and physical energy to bake but I finally tested out my new toys and here is the finished product. 

 Yes, those are fresh blueberries in Idaho. A tender mercy for this Californian at heart gal.

Vegas, Golfing, Freezing In Shorts

Monday morning Matty, Mama Berry, and I met our Uncle Brent (he has the sweetest life, retired fireman that golfs 4-5 days a week) for golf while Dadio went to meetings. The way I golfed I should have went to meetings instead. A little bit of the Idaho curse was with me. I did have two amazing shots. A shot from the tee box that went into the lake, skipped three times, bounced off a rock, went into the next water hazard, and bounced back into the fairway. Caddyshack could not have pulled it off better. Second shot was a 45 ft putt that was pure luck...I mean, pure skill.
